Ben Freeman

Chief Executive Officer

Ben Freeman is a financial and energy industry veteran with experience leading, managing and growing multi-billion dollar global portfolios. He founded HudsonField in 2014 as a unique proposition to fill the void in the energy space created by new financial regulations. Prior to HudsonField, Ben was a Managing Director for Goldman Sachs and global head of oil derivatives trading.

Scott Bormaster

President, Marketing and Transportation

Scott Bormaster is an industry veteran with 37 years of experience marketing and transporting oil and gas. Scott recently was VP of Oil Business Development for Buckeye Partners, L.P. where he helped diversify their oil midstream business. Previously, he was Managing Director, U.S. Oil Marketing for Apache Corporation, where he led  the marketing of over 165,000 barrels of oil and condensate per day. Scott’s career began at the Permian Corporation where he became VP of the SE Region. He later joined Plains Marketing and Transportation, followed by Black Hills Energy Resources, where he served as President and COO.

Seth Kammerman

Seth Kammerman has extensive experience in finance with a primary focus on funding, liquidity, capital and collateral management at complex global financial institutions. Seth served as a Managing Director of Global Liquidity Products at Goldman Sachs in both London and New York, and then as CEO & Founder of a financial collateral trading platform. He has developed and originated multiple innovative financing products for global institutional investors. Seth has extensive experience engaging with rating agencies, equity analysts and regulators.

Sebastien Douieb

Managing Director
Structuring & Origination

Sebastien Douieb has 14 years of experience in the commodity markets. He spent 8 years at Goldman Sachs in London and New York where he held both trading and principal investment roles in its Commodities division. He was most recently a Director in Noble Group’s mergers and acquisitions team. Sebastien’s experience ranges from principal investing to structuring risk management products.

Harvey Golub

Chairman of the Board of Directors

Harvey Golub served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of American Express Company from 1993 to 2001. He joined American Express in 1984 as the President and Chief Executive Officer of IDS Financial Services (now known as Ameriprise Financial). Prior to joining IDS, Mr. Golub was a senior partner at McKinsey & Co., where he worked on strategy and organizational issues for a number of corporations.

Mr. Golub is the Chairman of Miller Buckfire & Co. LLC and has served on the firm’s Board of Advisors since 2004. He also serves on the boards of Dynasty Financial Partners LLC and Powersite LLC and is a member of the advisory board of Marblegate Asset Management LLC. Previously, Mr. Golub served as Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of American International Group (AIG), Campbell Soup Company and The Reader’s Digest Association. He has also served as a member of the Board of Dow Jones & Company and RHJI International and several private companies. In addition, Mr. Golub serves on the boards of the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), the Manhattan Institute for Policy Research, and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. He also serves on Jupiter Medical Center’s finance and planning committees and is chairman of the Maltz Jupiter Theatre endowment board. He is a director emeritus and member of the investment committee of the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.

Peter Kraus

Special Advisor to the Board

Peter Kraus was elected Chairman of the Board of the General Partner and Chief Executive Officer of the General Partner, AllianceBernstein and Holding in December 2008. Mr. Kraus has in-depth experience in the financial markets, including investment banking, asset-management and private-wealth management. He served as an executive vice president, the head of global strategy and a member of the Management Committee of Merrill Lynch & Company Inc. from September 2008 through December 2008. Mr. Kraus spent 22 years with Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (“Goldman”), where he most recently served as co-head of the Investment Management Division and a member of the Management Committee, as well as head of firm-wide strategy and chairman of the Strategy Committee. Mr. Kraus also served as co-head of the Financial Institutions Group. He was named a partner at Goldman in 1994 and managing director in 1996.

In April 2010, Mr. Kraus was appointed a member of the Management Committee of AXA, which was formed by Henri de Castries, AXA’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, in April 2010 to assist him with the operational management of AXA. He was named a Director of AXA Financial, AXA Equitable, MONY Life Insurance Company (a wholly-owned subsidiary of AXA Financial, “MONY”) and MONY Life Insurance Company of America (a wholly-owned subsidiary of MONY, “MLOA”) in February 2009; in October 2013, he resigned as a Director of MONY when AXA completed its sale of MONY.

Rodney Chase

Rodney Chase served on the BP plc Board for 11 years; first as CEO of Marketing & Refining, then as CEO of Exploration & Production, and from 1999 until his retirement in 2003 as Deputy Group Chief Executive. Mr. Chase spent five years as Chairman and CEO of BP America before joining the main Board in 1992. Previously, he was the Group Treasurer and Chief Executive of BP Finance for four years.

Mr. Chase is a Director and Audit Committee Chairman of Tesoro Corporation in San Antonio, Texas and a Director of Hess Corporation in New York.  He served as Chairman of Genel Energy and as Chairman of Petrofac Limited. He was Deputy Chairman of Tesco plc, a Director of Diageo plc, a Director of British Oxygen and a Member of the International Advisory Board of Lehman Brothers – all in the UK.  In the USA, he previously served as Chairman of Nalco and as Chairman of CSC.

Mr. Chase served as Founding Chairman of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, Chairman of the UK Emissions Trading Group, Executive Board Member of the American Petroleum Institute, Member of the UK Advisory Committee on Business and the Environment, Member of the UK Roundtable, Non-Executive Director of the World Conservation Monitoring Centre and Director of The Prince of Wales International Business Leaders Forum. In 2013, he was recognized as an honoree in the NACD Directorship 100.

Sam Levinson

Board of Directors

Sam Levinson is a principal and managing partner at Glick Family Investments, a private family office located in New York, New York. Mr. Levinson is a Director of Stonegate Mortgage Corporation and is the Chairman of the Compensation Committee. He is a Director of Dynasty Financial Partners, LLC, which provides investment and technology platforms for independent financial, investment, and wealth management advisors. He has served on the board of American European Group Insurance Company since 2006.

From 2004 to 2015, Mr. Levinson was as a Director of Canary Wharf Group, a U.K. property developer and manager of over 16 million square feet of Class A office and retail space. He was a member of the Operating Committee and was the Chairman of the Audit Committee. He was also a non-Executive Director of Songbird Estates, Canary Wharf Group’s holding company, From April 2004 until February 2015. He was previously a Director of Coleman Cable Inc. until its sale to Southwire Company in 2014 and served as a Director of West Coast Bancorp of Portland, Oregon until its sale to Columbia Banking System in 2013.

George Wasaff

Board of Directors

George Wasaff is the Chairman of the Board of Tuscany Oilfield Holdings Ltd and is a principal and founder of KG Wasaff Associates LLC. Previously, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Pride International’s Latin America land and E&P services business. He co-founded AEI (formerly known as Ashmore Energy International) in 2005, where he served as EVP of operations and controls and as a member of the management committee. Concurrently, Mr. Wasaff was chairman, president, and chief executive officer of Elektra Noreste S.A. (Panama). Prior to joining AEI and Elektra, he was a managing director with Enron Corp.  During its bankruptcy, he served on the management committee, acted as cash “czar,” and led in the restructuring of corporate services and the disposition of key domestic and international holdings. Mr. Wasaff joined Enron Corp.’s Transwestern Pipeline Company in 1986 and later became vice president of marketing. He was also vice chairman and chief executive officer of Transportadora de Gas de Sur S.A. (Argentina); interim chief executive officer of Elektro – Eletricidade e Serviços S.A. (Brazil); and senior vice president of Enron South America’s wholesale operations. At Enron South America, he had profit and loss accountability for natural gas transportation and power generation in Bolivia, Brazil, and Argentina. Mr. Wasaff began his career with El Paso Natural Gas Company. He is a certified public accountant (non-practicing) and a chartered global management accountant.

Ari Pluchenik

Board of Directors

Ari Pluchenik is a senior portfolio manager at Glick Family Investments (“GF”). He is responsible for many of GF’s direct investments and serves on multiple GF portfolio company boards of directors and operating committees. He is currently on the Board of Directors of Oasis Systems, a military defense contractor, and FSFR Glick JV, a joint venture with Fifth Street Senior Floating Corp, among others. Recently, he represented GF as an observer to the Board of Directors of First Security Group until its merger in 2015 with Atlantic Capital Bancshares.

Shmuel Lieberman

Board of Directors

Shmuel Lieberman is a senior analyst at Glick Family Investments (“GF”) where he covers a broad range of asset classes. He oversees a $300 million joint venture that invests in middle market senior bank loans. He also co-manages a diverse fund-of-fund portfolio and is responsible for all internal trading of marketable securities, including equities, credit and derivatives at GF. Mr. Lieberman joined GF in 2011.

Frank Panzer

Manager

Frank Panzer is an energy industry veteran with over 40 years of experience.  Frank served as CEO of Road Science LLC and President of SemMaterials LP, and has worked in leadership roles at a variety of energy companies, including SemGroup, the National Cooperative Refinery Association and the Permian Corporation. Most recently, Frank was a consultant to companies that were entering or re-entering the crude oil marketing and transportation industry.

Karen Snow

Manager
Marketing Operations

Karen Snow has 25 years of energy industry experience, specializing in the physical oil and refined product space. Most recently, she spent 5 years at Barclays Bank developing and supporting a structured platform for refinery inventory monetization and crude oil supply facilities. Karen began with Scurlock Permian Corporation, followed by Shell Oil and Enron, working in a variety of managerial roles ranging from logistics to settlements to accounting. She has significant experience developing process improvements and streamlining front to back marketing operations, including designing and implementing related ETRM systems.
